MINDFULNESS

Mindfulness is a deceptively simple way of relating to all experience that can reduce suffering and set the stage for positive personal transformation.

My offerings based in Mindfulness:

  • Workshops on Mindfulness skills and education for organizations and corporations. Team building or self care sessions for staff.

  • Request that your therapy session have a focus on Mindfulness techniques. This is typically done through the lens of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for a relapse prevention of depression symptoms.

  • More Mindfulness offerings coming in the near future.

By incorporating mindfulness practices into our daily routine, we can cultivate a greater sense of awareness, reduce stress, and enhance our overall well-being. Taking the time to pause, breathe, and focus on the present moment allows us to approach each situation with clarity and intention. Whether it's taking a few moments to meditate in the morning, or simply being fully present during daily activities, mindfulness can have profound effects on our mental, emotional, and physical health. Embracing mindfulness in everyday life is a powerful way to nurture our inner peace and improve our overall quality of life.

I began meditating and practicing yoga when I was around 15 years old. I have taken many trainings, classes, and workshops on yoga and meditation. I am trained in Hatha yoga and Kundalini yoga and I have been teaching since 2012. As a mental health therapist I am trained in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Depression. Furthermore, my work experience with psychosis and PTSD has helped me understand the contraindications and possible limitations of meditation/mindfulness among clients suffering with moderate to severe mental health concerns.

Having a daily morning meditation practice is imperative in my own life and I love supporting others building their own routine and practice.
