What is therapy: Therapy is a confidential space for clients to gain insights into their struggles. Therapy may be for you if you are struggling with depression, anxiety, or overwhelming life stressors. Maybe your life is going well but you have underlying anxiety or worry that you can’t shake? In therapy sessions, we focus on creating a treatment plan that is unique to your goals and values. This can include an action plan, journaling strategies, tools to help with decision making, healthy lifestyle changes, etc.
Approaches used in my practice: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. I do not offer PTSD therapy or OCD therapy in my practice, although I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD and Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD and pull from that knowledge to support my clients.
